A bit about me:
Born in Costa Rica and educated in the U.S.,Mexico, and the United Kingdom, Dr. Escalante brings a global, hands-on approach to management, marketing and consumer strategy, and finance. In his early professional career he worked for the Republic Tobacco Company (a subsidiary of British American Tobacco: BAT Industries) as Market Research and Product Development Manager. Since 1976, as founder and president of The Marketing Management Company, LLC., (currently, Dr. Escalante Management Group) Escalante has served as strategy consultant to numerous healthcare enterprises and practitioners, as well as others such as La Curacao, Pfizer Laboratories, B.F. Goodrich, Levi’s,Coty Cosmetics, Southern California Edison, National Institute of Insurance, University of La Verne, Luxfer Cylinders, SealRight Corp., Command Studios, etc., and governments/government entities such as, the Government of Costa Rica, the Government of Ecuador, the Government of Nicaragua, the United States Air Force, the California Army National Guard, etc. He was Administrative Director at Escuelas Castro Carazo, taught extensively for many years in the U.S. and Central America in marketing, motivation, advertising, international marketing, consumer behavior, sales, strategic thinking and strategic planning, financial accounting and financial management. Escalante held a position of Senior Adjunct Professor at the University of La Verne, where he taught for sixteen years and Senior Adjunct Professor at Cambridge College Undergraduate School of Education, he currently teaches at FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) – .His degrees include a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration/Marketing and an MBA/Marketing, a Fellowship in Marketing Research and Statistics, a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) in Organizations and Marketing, and a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) in Finance. Due to his expertise, he has been a featured speaker for the National Latino Cosmetology Association (NLCA), American Marketing Association, the National Radio Broadcasters Association, the Latin Business Association, the American Advertising Federation and numerous civic groups. He serves, or has served, on the Boards of the American Red Cross, Inland Valley News (Chair), Professional Women in Business, La Verne Chamber of Commerce, Inland Valley Economic Development Corporation (Marketing Chair), San Bernardino County Sheriff, American Advertising Federation (Chair), American Marketing Association (Marketing Chair Inland Empire Chapter), National Latino Cosmetology Association (Education Chair), Connection Enterprises, Inc., and others.
